StudioEleven CODA at Colburn
Colburn School | 200 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012
"Studioeleven Coda at Colburn" is being installed this week at The Colburn School, 200 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012. This exhibition will continue until August 1, 2016.
Studioeleven is a group of artists who work independently and at Tom Wudl’s studio in the LA arts district. These artists organized studioeleven to support each other by exhibiting and discussing art issues that impact their creative processes. From September 2014 through May 2015, studioeleven operated an exhibition gallery at Maker City LA on the 11th floor of the Reef Building, where the artists presented a series of eight thematically organized exhibitions. Members decided that during 2015-16, they would dedicate themselves to core principles emphasizing educational and philosophical aspects of individual practices. Studioeleven is now “re-composing” its membership with this change in thematic focus. "studioeleven Coda at Colburn” is the culmination of the original exhibition program as studioeleven transitions from one movement to begin another.
The artists participating in “studioeleven Coda at Colburn” are: Anne Brilliant, H. Barbara Cutler, Beverly Feinstein, BJ Dockweiler, Darcy Parsons, David Peters, Deborah Hadl, Desy Safán-Gerard, Elaine Cohen, Ellen Isensen, Flora Golden, Hillary Gruenberg, Jill Gefen, Joan Giammarco, Kathleen Losey, Laurie Yehia, Linda Levi-Baum, Lisa Segal, Loran Calvin, Margaret-Anne Smith. Margy Sievers, Monica Leal Cueva, Sandra Nichols, Teresa Abdala-Romano, and Tressa Miller.
